Update October 16, 2014

New Paintings!

Despite the apparent lack of updates to the site I have been very busy painting. Of the recent paintings completed the subjects include; Carolina Wren, Bison, and a meadow scenic. On the easel near complete are a Crow and and Ahinga. Sketched out and ready for underpainting  are a Snowy Owl over the tundra and a Wood Duck taking flight.  I also have a number of completed work ready for imaging. I will be expanding the Gallery section to add one more additional page. I have added forward and backward arrows on the detail pages so you no longer have to return to the gallery page and load pages from there.  You can view progress images of my work on my FaceBook page. You do not have to have a Facebook account to view the page, only to leave comments.  Link here:   White Crow Arts - Facebook

2014 Society of Animal Artists Annual Show

A great opportunity to see a great show with lots of pieces and diversity in subject and styles is coming to the Northeast - The 54th ANNUAL EXHIBITIONand ART AND THE ANIMAL TOUR ITINERARY will be on display at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in Oradell, New Jersey (NYC area)  from  November 15, 2014 - January 4, 2015. The Blauvelt is one of only approximately 5 art museums dedicated exclusively to wildlife and nature art. When not exhibiting a touring show the permanent collection is on display with again a lovely diverse selection of art and sculpture.

Up coming interviews...

First I will be doing an interview news article here about  framing and displaying art. My friend Ken Ernst, at  Frame It Yourself in Westwood, NJ  has agreed to do this all for a cup of coffee (I thin he just needs to get out of his busy shop for a while. He will talk about making the right frame choice, protecting your art, and changes in framing technology.

The Second interview will be with  Tony Morella of  Digital Editions Atelier  in Montvale, NJ. tony is a one man powerhouse of giclee archival printing. Tony will give a run down how Giclee differs from offset printing techniques, its important archival benefits,  and how it opens up a world of substrate choice.

Today is the day!

White Crow Arts is now a public reality. A special thanks to my wife Victoria for her support and encouragement to help make my art a priority of life. I produced this site by customizing a free web template called Aurelius, created by Mattt Corner at QwibbleDesigns. I hope Matt likes what I did with the  big customizing job I have done with his initial work.  An art website has the challange of each piece of work having a variable physical dimensions. Standardized templates just will not work well. So after many hours, I was ready to publish these pages. I hope you enjoy them. I am sure some errors may have slipped by undetected. If you find any feel free to contact me and let me know and I will take care of them ASAP.

How do I make a purchase?

In the future I intend to incorporate a Shopping Cart Feature into the site. When this is accomplished the use of PayPal for purchases will also be introduced. Until that time prices and purchases will have to be managed by email or telephone. All orders must be paid in full before shipping by bank check or money order. We appreciate your tolerance with this minor inconvenience.

Thank you...

First, I would like to thank my family and friends for their life long appreciation of my art and the encourageent to share it publicly at this time. Secondly, I wish to thank you for visiting the site. We hope you enjoyed seeing the art and will stop back again in the future. If you have any comments about the site you would like to share feel free to use the email feature here on the site or share this link with others. Be e sure to visit us on Facebook at White Crow Arts.   - Barry
